At Betsy’s Photography, we believe your family’s memories belong on your walls and in your hands, not stuck on a hard drive. Our portrait commissions are designed as a seamless, all-inclusive experience. Unlike high-volume studios, I work with a limited number of families each month to ensure every portrait receives the technical precision and artistic care of a Master Photographer.
Your Portrait Commission Includes:
The Design Consultation: A pre-session meeting to discuss your home’s decor, wardrobe coordination, and the "vibe" of your portraits.
The Portrait Session: A relaxed, guided experience at our Dexter studio or a hand-picked location in the Ann Arbor area.
Master Artistry & Retouching: Each selected image is hand-finished with natural retouching to meet museum-quality standards.
Finished Heirloom Art: Your investment includes both the session and a curated selection of professional prints or wall art, ready to be displayed in your home.
Portrait Collections
Our collections are designed to provide you with finished, tangible art for your home. All-inclusive portrait commissions start at $350.
Investing in Your Legacy
To help you plan for your session, here is a guide to our most popular heirloom art:
- Gift Portraits: Range from $45 to $200.
- Wall Art: Statement pieces begin at $250, with both archival framing and "ready-to-frame" options available.
What Most Families Choose
While there is no minimum order, most of our clients find they fall in love with a variety of images. Families typically invest $500 to $1000 when focusing on smaller gift prints, or $1000 to $3000 when their goal is a combination of museum-quality wall art, custom albums, and matted prints.
Why "All-Inclusive"?
I know your life is busy. By including your finished prints within your commission, I remove the "to-do" list of sorting through hundreds of proofs. Instead, we work together during your session to capture the absolute best images, which are then expertly finished and delivered to you as completed works of art.
