Fall Portraits in the Leaves

Fall is such a gorgeous time of year. The colors are ever changing, the beauty temporal and fleeting. It’s one of my favorite times to plan an outdoor portrait session.

It’s fun to do something more contemporary and unposed — like this lifestyle family photo of two brothers playing with leaves. They are about to toss leaves in the air, the moment is full of anticipation.

The brothers wore authentic Norwegian sweaters, one of which was a family heirloom. I love incorporating meaningful items like these sweaters into portraits.
