One of the tricky things, during a portrait session at this age, is that babies sometimes aren’t comfortable sitting up in a chair, but if you put them on the ground, they take off crawling. So, I usually enlist mom’s help during the session. Every time Miss S. crawled away, mom put her back in place. And when we had her sitting in the chair, mom was right there out of the picture — ready to spot — in case this sweet baby girl started wobbling. Learning to balance is so tough!
I love how the pink knitted items pair with the grays in this image. Once Miss S. settled in and was willing to balance on the chair all by herself, we got some cute portraits — like this one. My sister-in-law made the crochet octopus… isn’t it cute??
