I captured this image of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge while we were leaving port for Bermuda. We also passed the statue of Liberty from a distance, which was pretty neat, because I’d only seen it from closer up before (when I visited the statue itself). But, back to the bridge. The bridge links Staten Island and Brooklyn, and was built around 1964. I love the muted blues in this image, how the bridge dominates the frame, yet your eye still eventually finds the moon overhead.
