Supermoon Harvest Moon, Michigan

Several years ago we observed one of those much publicized supermoons that happened to coincide with the Harvest Moon. The kids had a great time staying up late to look at the moon, and I enjoyed their excitement as well. It’s fun to see new things, after all! I love the contrast of the moon with the blackness of the sky. This is one of those photographs that is deceptively simple. But beautiful.
