Ann Arbor Senior Portrait :: Corey
Corey is a 2010 Senior at Pioneer High School. If he looks familiar, it’s because, a while back, we did his brother’s senior portraits. For Corey’s session, we wanted to create portraits in an outdoor setting, since Corey loves being outdoors. We spent some time at Corey’s home in Ann Arbor, followed by the schoolyard at a nearby public school.
This first image is one of my absolute favorites of Corey’s senior portraits. I love the sky, the grass, and the contemplative feel of the portrait.

On the school grounds, I found a wonderful variety of settings, allowing me some lovely backgrounds that complemented Corey’s attire.

I love brick walls, they have such a warmth to them. This one was no exception:

For a little twist on the natural scenery, I found this exterior door that contrasted wonderfully with nature’s greenery.

Corey was a good sport throughout the entire session, and I’m so glad we were able to keep the experience a relaxing one for him! Here’s another portrait with the red doors. Love it!

Back to the nature + sky… Corey’s mom said this one of Corey reminded her of a mountain man… the stark landscape with Corey as the solitary subject. No smiles, but you know that was on purpose, right?

This senior portrait was taken in Corey’s backyard. His mom loved it… I always like it when I can incorporate a meaningful/significant location into the portrait session. It helps transform the portrait from just a picture into a meaningful memory.

Another portrait from the backyard, by the fence. …a pensive smile from Corey.

And to wrap things up… an adorable moment I captured while photographing Corey with his dog. Puppy kisses!

Congratulations Corey, on being halfway through your senior year. Best of luck as you finish out the year, and as you begin the next chapter in life!!
