Michigan Family Portrait Session

J and his parents had a great time at their family portrait session! I love studio sessions, because I can completely focus on the relationships and personalities of my clients. While J did have a great time at the session for the most part, I really love this first image I’m going to share with you. Towards the end of the session, I photographed J and his parents as you see below. What a truly wonderful family:

And to prove to you J really had fun — here’s a more creative portrait I created. Kids love being upside down… who knew? Well, obviously I know (it’s from experience with my nephews and niece)!

I also photographed J by himself during part of the session. Now, if you’ve met me, you know I’m short — and I frequently use a step stool during sessions to get that perfect shot I’m looking for. J couldn’t get enough of my step stool — so we did some portraits using that as the “prop.”

Finally, as J decided he was done with all this picture-taking business, I decided to photograph his mom and dad by themselves. Another instant favorite:

Thanks for a wonderful session. I really enjoyed working with you, and I am so glad you love your portraits (I need to come up with an “anti-working” word… because photographing clients is so fun it really isn’t work)!

I can’t wait to have these up in our house! They came out better than we ever could have hoped for. I can’t wait for my family and friends to see them! Thank you for being so patient with Jackson and his antics.

Seriously I enjoyed his antics. They were adorable. And as long as his adorableness is also conveyed in the photos, that’s all that matters :) . Your wall portrait looks amazing framed; I can’t wait for you to see it. It’s going to look great in your house!
