Sam + Steph …(and Ashley too!)
Ok, so I’ve been promising and promising to share more about our trip to Montana.
Here’s the scoop. My cousin (who’s like a sister to me!) was getting married. When we were little we made one of those “pacts” about how we both would be each others’ maid of honor when the we did eventually get married. I know, I know, we didn’t think that through… unless it had been a double wedding, one of us would turn out being a matron of honor! So, you guessed it. I got to be in a wedding (for once, I know!). It was an amazing wedding, and although there were some minor issues along the way, things still worked out wonderfully and everyone had a great time.
And, since I’m sure you’re going to ask me “did you photograph the wedding?” The answer is no. Well, kinda. I wasn’t the photographer, being family and all, but Sam and Steph’s photographer was kind enough to let me (and Steven) capture the moments throughout the day. No, I wasn’t glued to my camera I promise. I made a concerted effort to step out of photographer mode and enjoy the spotlight as a matron of honor!
All the same, I couldn’t resist the urge to capture some of these amazing memories for my wonderful cousin, her new husband (Sam), and the most darling flowergirl ever (Ashley, who’s Sam’s daughter). It was sooo extremely cute to see how excited she was!!

Now, this next picture, I didn’t have Sam + Steph’s actual rings, but I really loved the wedding favors so I used Steven’s ring and my ring for this shot. All of the rocks were hand-painted by my aunt, and were gathered from a few meaningful locations in Montana.

Sam’s buddies from the National Guard arranged for a firetruck escort for the limo (well, not a limo really, but awesome classic car!) that we rode in.

Steven captured this shot just as the limo was driving off. Lovely, lovely!

Wonderful pictures–some that I wasn’t even aware of being taken. I especially like the ones of Ashley (Sound like a proud Grandma?) Thanks for posting them for others to see. I can send this site to relatives and friends who couldn’t make the wedding.

Congratulations Sam and Stephanie! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. It looks like it was a beautiful day. We look forward to catching up with you this summer when we get back to Montana again.

Looks like a beautiful wedding - full of fun and happiness. We’re glad you found each other. Is that a big truck? Stephanie is beautiful too.
