Barton Hills Country Club
I probably should highlight local venues and vendors more frequently on here, because I know it’s helpful for my brides-to-be!
Barton Hills Country Club is a wonderful place to have your wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception. Steven and I celebrated our wedding (reception) at Barton Hills Country Club, and I’ve photographed a number of weddings and events there as well. Barton Hills Country Club is in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and iss located on the west side of town, just across the Huron River.
At any rate, I’ve included some images of Barton Hills, both indoors and out. The wedding couple I included at the end had a wonderful wedding experience at Barton Hills. Even though the weather didn’t permit them to have their ceremony out on the golf course as planned, things went quite smoothly and everyone had fun!
The difference is in the details… Here are a few more “simple” detail shots of the place settings and name tables. Of course, like any venue, Barton has a multitude of options for linen colors and table decor can be customized if you are so inclined!
While Barton offers both buffet and full service banquets, either option is lovely. Here’s an image of a buffet table in their main ballroom.
The main ballroom is really amazing. I always enjoy this room because of the picture windows and accent lighting. There is plenty of space for guests, dancing, and the bridal party table.
Depending on how busy things are, you may be able to sneak over to the bar. I took the whole wedding party in there for a more creative approach to the bridal party group shot.
Barton Hills really has lovely grounds. The picture windows on the rear side of the building open up to an open air balcony, which overlooks the golf course. This image I captured at sunset just after the ceremony. You might not know it, but it was bitterly cold outside the day these two got married!
