My Turn in Front of the Camera!
We photographers don’t get out from behind the camera very much, but I promise it’s not because I dislike having my picture taken. Yesterday, I was able to break the mold and take the place my clients normally occupy.
My portrait session was somewhat simple, but I had a great time! Steven created some wonderful portraits of me, and I can’t wait to share them. For those of you wondering who Steven is, that’s my also-photographically-inclined husband. He often works behind the scenes here at Betsy’s Photography, but yesterday, he got to take over as head photographer for the session.
We didn’t do anything fancy, and since it’s a little too cold out with the snow still on the ground, we stayed in the studio for the entire session. Even so, we had a great time, and yes, I had fun. I was even relaxed (sometimes it’s hard for photographers to stop “thinking” pictures)!
Anyways, I absolutely love these images and you may have already noticed that my “About” page has been updated with the new portrait. So, without further ado, here are a couple highlights from my amazing portrait session.

And then to finish things up, a black and white headshot of yours truly. I am still really excited about how wonderfully these turned out (yes, I knew they’d be good but they are great!), so I will just stop typing and let you enjoy the images.

Great photos Betsy! Tell your husband he did a good job! I think it’s important for us as photographers to get on the other end of the camera once in a while!

Thanks Karen! I did tell Steven…. He’s been getting a lot of compliments on these images…
Yes, definitely it is
a good thing to switch things up and experience things as a “non-photographer” every so often.
