Marvelous Mondays

Ok, so it’s obviously not a Monday. So what’s up with that? Sometimes for me the weekends can be very productive. And, while that’s a good thing, it can also mean that I don’t get a lot of time to relax. This past weekend was one such time. And no, I wasn’t working the whole weekend. But Monday sure felt relaxing in comparison!

Since you’re probably dying of suspense, I’ll share my “exciting” weekend agenda. First I spent some time cleaning and organizing our house. That’s important — somehow as we’ve moved to a larger space, we’ve had absolutely no problem filling it up. So that’s where the organization (and consolidation) comes in. Part of our guest room right now contains a “giveaway” pile, of odds and ends (from clothes to computer accessories to kitchen utensils …no cameras sorry guys!). Once we sort these out, we’re going to cart the boxes off to our local charity/reuse centers. After all, we’ve been blessed with so much, that it’s good to give things back. Plus, getting organized doesn’t hurt for sanity’s sake!

We also spent some time painting… well, priming, to be exact. No, not our home. One of the relatives! Their basement is nearing completion, and it was good to help them along. It makes me want to get a jump-start on the home renovations that Steven and I have been planning.

Yes, it was a busy weekend, but it was the good kind of busy. I was able to look back and think, “wow this weekend just flew by!” …but doesn’t time usually fly when you’re having fun?

very cool. well, the productive part! I don’t exactly like to clean or paint though, so I’m sure that’s why.

Glad you had a good weekend!
