Planning and Sharing Your Family Portrait
As I sat down to work on our first “official” holiday letter, I couldn’t help but think of how much has changed for my husband and me in the past year. No doubt your family has faced many new changes too. Whether you’ve celebrated new arrivals, graduation, marriage, or even purchasing your new home, you’ve got news to share with your family and loved ones.
In addition to writing a letter about the milestones in your life, why not send a photograph? Then your friends and family will be able to see your smiling face all year-long, instead of just on special occasions! If you’re not a fan of dressing up in holiday clothing for the family picture, that’s ok! Many families have started to abandon the “themed” portraits in exchange for something more timeless and memorable – a portrait that shows the family’s personality, with clothing chosen accordingly.
Planning and Sharing Your Family Portrait: Regardless of whether you’re planning a holiday-themed or a timeless portrait session, both will require just a little planning. As your professional photographer, I’m here to make that planning stage go as smoothly as possible. At the very least, we’ll discuss the basics – like whether you’d prefer a location session or a studio session, if there are clothing preferences (holiday attire, favorite sports jerseys, you name it we’ll talk about it!), and even tips for getting the whole family to the session on time! Deciding who should receive pictures of your family doesn’t have to be hard! While you’re allowed to choose just one, why stop there? At your Image Preview session, we’ll help you select the best images to share.
