Views from Old Mission Peninsula

As you may have known, this past weekend I was up north in the Traverse City area. In case you’re wondering what I was doing there, no it wasn’t just to enjoy the fall colors — I was attending the Professional Photographers of Michigan Fall seminar. More than just a networking event, I was there to learn! Although my main purpose for attending was to take the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) exam, I was also there to see some great photographers. John Marion, a Master Photographer and Master of Electronic Imaging, shared his work and how important inspiration is to photographers. Cindy Baxter, a Master Photographer (and CPP), discussed childrens’ portraiture; and a number of other photographers’ work was on display.

Although the drive was long, the fall seminar was inspirational and informative! I am planning on implementing some new options for my clients in the near future.

While driving the Old Mission Peninsula, I stopped a number of times to marvel at the fall colors — green vineyards were accented by reds, yellows, and golds of autumn. After seeing the coming week’s forecast, those images in my mind look even more enticing!
